At ONEcafe we operate on a few simple principles.
Ethical and sustainable sourcing
Excellent Service: We want your experience at ONEcafe to be as enjoyable as possible. If your order is not to your liking, we will replace it free of charge. Have questions about how something is prepared, or the difference between roasts or origin? Feel free to ask us! Have suggestions for us? We welcome your feedback to help us provide you with better service and a more enjoyable experience (link to Feedback form).
Quality Products: We believe fresh is best. You won’t find any pre-packaged pastries in our display case, or three-day-old bagels. Sandwiches are made-to-order with bread made that day. Our pastries are made in-house fresh every day. Sure, it’s more work for us, but it’s worth the effort to ensure we are providing the best products possible.
Community-Mindedness: We’re not just a business in Athens – WE LOVE ATHENS! We’re proud of our local culture (especially our Bulldogs!) and want to show it. We welcome the opportunity to display local artwork on our walls, and to have local bands play on the weekends. We also invite you to come out and watch UGA games on the big screen. Book clubs and off-site meetings are welcome, so ask us about our book club menu specials and catering options for your organization.
Ethical and Sustainable Sourcing: We all want to save money, but we also need to be concerned with fair wages and sustainable resources. We purchase all of our coffee from 1000Faces and our tea from Taylors of Harrogate because we appreciate their commitment to quality and ethical business dealings. We purchase locally-grown fruits and vegetables to support or community and ensure freshness and quality. All of our disposable products are fully compostable and made from renewable resources. We’re working hard at this, and welcome your suggestions on how we can do better.
